The Editor-Author Perspective
I’m not sure which is tougher: being an editor who knows good writing or being a writer who knows good editing.
Perhaps they are two sides of the same coin. I love both, that’s for certain. Depending on the day, I love one more than the other. But I always acknowledge their interdependence. I’m making a point of showing both sides of that coin to you on a weekly basis.
My editorial blog posts center around writing and editing tips, principles, and experiences. My writing will simply be flash-fiction and short stories written each week based on a prompt. Feel free to borrow those prompts at any time!
The secret to editing your work is simple: you need to become its reader instead of its writer.
