As a neurospicy professional editor, I value three things:
- Clarity
- Conciseness
- Punctuality
When you entrust me with your baby, the story you’ve spent months (or even years) putting onto paper, I want you to be confident that your manuscript is in good hands.
To aid in that effort, here’s my general onboarding process.

It all starts when you book your free consultation! This is where we discuss your background as an author, my background as an editor-author, and your manuscript concerns or reasons for reaching out. If necessary, I go into detail about the editorial process. I try to get as much information from you as I can in the allotted timeframe so I have a clear understanding of how to best help you as your story coach or editor.

If you are seeking a fiction developmental edit, I perform a full read-through of your manuscript at a flat-fee rate of US $60. This lets me ascertain if I have the relevant skills needed and the appropriate genre knowledge to assist you at the highest levels.
- Word Count: Up to 70,000 words (US $10 per additional 2,000 words)
- Turnaround: 3–5 business days
You’ll then schedule your follow-up consultation to discuss the following:
